Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, Ottawa. The Rev. Tim Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa. Pallbearers will be Carroll Price, Dave Crozier, and grandsons Adam and Steven Sorenson, and Jim and Kyle Walters.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Ottawa, and one hour before the services Wednesday at the church.
Born July 27, 1920 in Dows, Iowa, she was the daughter of Herman James and Ruth Estella (Hamblin) Sibert. She married Roy Johannes Sorenson Sr. on Aug. 3, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa. He died Feb. 19, 1999.
Surviving are sons, Larry (Shirley) Sorenson of Chicago, and Roy Jr. “Sonny” (Mary Jo) Sorenson of Grand Ridge; a daughter, Ruthann (Mrs. James “Smoke”) Walters of Mendota; nine grandchidren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Leona Sorenson of Ottawa, Blanche (Mrs. Charles) Drosten of Streator, and Mildred Johnson of Long Point; and a brother, Harold Sibert of Oglesby.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard; and a great-granddaughter
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church.
