A resident of Independence, she died Monday, July 24, 2006, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. She was 72, born April 20, 1934, in Tickfaw, the daughter of the late Joel and Evie Richardson McDonald. She was the wife of
the late Holland Penton. Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Barber and Ann Clausen; three sons, Holland Penton Jr., Joel Penton and Ray Penton; five brothers, Henry, Ray, Willis, David and Frank McDonald; 11 grandchildren
and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her three grandchildren; three sisters, Rena Thompson, Yvonne Purvis and Donis Hoyt; and two brothers, Andrew and Gene McDonald. Friends will be received on Thursday,
July 27, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation at Woodhaven Baptist Church, Albany, on Friday from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Michael

INDEPENDENCE - Holland Brister "H.B." Penton Sr., 70, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at his
home.
He was a native of Bogalusa and retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Chalmette.
He is survived by his wife, Addie McDonald Penton of Independence; two daughters, Evelyn
Barber of Albany and Ann Clausen of Beauford, S.C.; three sons, Holland Penton Jr. of
Independence, Joel Penton of Hammond and Ray-Ray Penton of Albany; two sisters, Mary Penton
of New York and Sandra Fritz of Pennsylvania; four brothers, George Penton of Gulfport, Miss.,
Robert Penton of Rosemary, Calif., and Bill and Barney Penton, both of Pennsylvania; 11
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Penton; his mother, Elvie Smith Dietrich; two
brothers, Carl and Howard Penton; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10
p.m. and Thursday at Woodhaven Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until the Rev. Buddy McMorris and
the Rev. Sidney McMorris conduct the funeral at 11. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

McDONALD, BILLY
Age 47, and a resident of Tickfaw, Billy passed away at his residence
Friday morning, January 18, 2013. He was the owner of B&K Construction Co.
and the owner/driver of K&K Racing. Billy loved his family, racing, heavy
equipment operating and his dogs, Angel, Boo Boo, Trixie, and Prissy. He
enjoyed family and friends getting together following a racing circuit and
running his construction business. Bro. Joseph Starns, Nolan Sibley, Grady
Crawford and David Ashley all had a great impact on Billy's life. Billy
will be missed dearly by his family, friends and community. Billy is
survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Sirone McDonald; daughter, Kelsey;
sons, Kody, Matthew and wife Rebecca; Billy is also survived by his
sisters, Evie and husband Jimmy Gordon, Norma McKinney and Phyllis
Williams; brother, Gene and wife Betty McDonald; grandchildren, James Titus
and Lillian Victoria and his mother-in law, Mary Grace Traylor Sirone and
father-in-law, A.V. Sirone Jr. Billy is preceded in death by his parents,
Eugene and Dorothy McDonald; brother-in-law, Murlin McKinney; grandmother,
Evie Richardson McDonald; grandfather, Joel McDonald; and a special uncle,
