Elsie Alexander, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, February 13, 2016.
She was the daughter of Wilbert and Sara Jane (Odum) Burroughs born in Damascus, AR. on Nov. 11, 1923
She married Johnny Hix Alexander and he passed away October 1979. Together they raised two sons, Wilbert (Lynda) and a very special and much loved son Larry, who passed away January 2005.
She is also preceded in death by sisters Willie Ward, Rean Simmons and Lether Wallace.
She leaves three grieving grandsons, Shawn, Johnny, and Malichi (Mac), also two heartbroken great granddaughters, Jaden and Kyra Alexander of Adrian,MI; sister, Jewell Holland.
Elsie was the family historian, recalling events and names of any relatives when asked. If she couldn't give an answer, she dug and called until she could give it her all.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 lead by Brother Cliff Hutchins at 2:00 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills.
Interment in Rest Hills Memorial Park.
