Prior to his retirement, John had been the owner of a Maintenance company.
John had been a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Fort Smith, AR. He married Bonnie Mae Wagner on Oct 1, 2008 in Alpena, AR.
Surviving John is his wife, Bonnie; six children & their spouses, Bill (Maria) Farr, Phyllis (Billy) Mattox, Cindy (James) Morris, Dennis (Kay) Farr, Stephanie (Tony) Jones & John (Robin) Farr.He is also survived by his sisters, Rebecca Paige, Mary Francis Redmond, & Imogene Brown, nine grandchilren, seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews & friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mildred Farr; sisters, Janie Isabel & Sarah Quigley; and brother Billy Farr.
Visitation was held at Allen Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at Allen Funeral Home Chapel, 508 Masters Ave., Wylie, TX 75098, on Friday with William Farr officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Paris, TX.
