Emma Lee Reed, 77, of Salem, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Hattie Doyle; sisters, Ruby Stickert and Marie Singletary; brothers, Lee L. Doyle and Harland Doyle.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ronnie Reed; daughters, Kathy (Shawn) Collins and Janet (Junior) Saunders; son, Don Reed; grandchildren, April Carico, Amanda (Trey) Rose, Jessica (Charles) Moore, Courtney (Josh) Stovall, Evan Collins (Frances Edwards), and Chadd Reed, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mickey (Frank) Hopper; and a host of family and friends.

She was an active member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church. She loved church, choir, witnessing with card ministry for God. She was a loving nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She never met a stranger.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016, at Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Salem with Pastor Ben Lockhart officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Roanoke.The family will receive guests 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
