Life began for Ollie on an Indian lease four miles east and one mile south of Seiling, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of Charles Sterling Price and Minnie Margaret (Drake) Cope's five children. She was one year old when the family moved to the quarter her father purchased southeast of Seiling.

The children attended Guy School, one-half mile south of their house. She graduated from Seiling High School in 1934. Ollie enrolled in Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas, in 1937 and then attended Central University at Pella, Iowa. She graduated in 1939 with a five-year teaching certificate. She clerked in a store for two years before returning to Seiling to teach at Deep Creek School. After having to walk to the school in freezing weather, she decided to return to Iowa.

Ollie married Charles Traverse Mason in 1942.
She worked in stores and taught in several schools in Iowa and one in Missouri, going wherever her husband's employment took them. He passed away in 1960; there were no children.

Ollie returned to Seiling and for a time lived with her sister Annabelle. She worked one year as a nurse's aid at the Seiling Nursing Center. Due to the encouragement of her sister and another teacher, Evelyn Reynolds, she attended SWOSU at Weatherford, OK, graduating in 1962 with a B.A. degree. While teaching at Liberal, Kansas, she attended summer school at Weatherford, receiving her master's degree. She later taught at Seiling and then finished her teaching career at Cherokee, OK, retiring in 1976.

Ollie was a faithful member of the Seiling Baptist Church. In October 2003 she moved to the Grace Living Center in Clinton where she was living when she passed away. While there she continued to enjoy reading her Bible and attending the Bible studies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Annabelle, brothers Joe and George, sister-in-law Sylvia and a niece Josephine. She is survived by her sister Bertha and her husband Ivan, as well as two nieces-- Ivanna Livingston and Loretta Plummer, four nephews--Chester Manderscheid, Charles, Laurn, and Ronald Cope, and their families.
