Minnie's older sister Icle had married and was living in the Little Robe Township in Dewey County, Oklahoma. While staying with Icle to help care for her newborn, Minnie met Charles Sterling Price Cope. They married September 15, 1907, in Oklahoma City, OK.
Charles and Minnie were living in the log cabin that Charles had built on his homestead when George Levi and Anna Belle were born. The family then moved to an Indian lease four miles east of Seiling. While living there, Joseph Lauren, Bertha Marie, and Ollie Mae were born.
In 1916, Charles bought a 160-acre-farm that was about one-and-a-half miles north of his homestead. The family moved to this farm and lived there until Charles and Minnie moved to town around 1942. They lived with Anna Belle until they passed away in 1947, Minnie just five months before Charles. George would stay with them also when he wasn't working out somewhere.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister Elfra Madelen in 1892, a newborn brother Homer in 1901, and a brother John Niles in 1907.
