FAYETTE WOMAN INTERED MONDAY
Final Services were held for Mrs Ray Farley on Monday, April 17, in the Waucoma Federated church with Rev. jerry Wolcott officiating. Reed funeral home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Dewey Chizek, Howard Smith, William Adams, Gordon Luce, Henry Hjelmeng and Vern Willis. Burial was in Waucoma Cemetery.
Lillie Sperry was born Sept 15, 1891, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Willliam R Sperry, Alpha. She was the second of either children She Spent all of her childhood in the alpha and Waucoma area, and graduated from the Waucoma High School.
On Nov 2,1910, she was married to Ray Farley of Waucoma. To them wee born one son and three daughters. Their early married life was spent in North and South Dakota. They later returned to Waucoma and lived there until 1960 when they moved to Fayette, IA
Mrs Farley cared for her invalid daughter, Raynell, for many years and her aged parents for the last years of their lives.
She was receded in death by her father mother, two brothers, Horace and Earl, and daughter Raynell
She is survived by her husband; three children, Lawrencem Fayette; Frances, Mrs Francis Beard, Long Beach California, and Doris, Mrs Walter Peterson, Davenport; six grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Art Kammeyer, Sumner, and four brothers, Charles Sperry, New Hampton, Myron Sperry Terre Haute, Ind, Robert Sperry, Cedar Rapids and William Sperry, Albuquerque N Mexico
