Gary Lynn Duke, 56, died Friday, February 11, 2016 at the Golden Living Nursing Home. Born in Amory , April 8, 1959, he was the son of the late Max and Betty Beard Duke.

Growing up and attending school in Houlka, Ms, he had settled in Hamilton, MS. Gary was of the Baptist faith who attended the Shiloh Baptist church in Houlka. Gary was disabled however, he was a fun loving family man who loved being with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.

Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Pujol, Hamilton, Heather Jackson, Columbus; step sons: Donnie & Tony Smith of Houston; sisters: Debra Duke Hill, Hamilton, Tammy Duke Hathcock, Greenwood Springs and Linda Griffin of Tupelo; brothers Carl Roland Duke of Bruce and Max Aaron Duke, Tupelo; his grandchildren: Amber and Dustin Story, and Dakota Ramey; Nickolas, Alexzander, Haileigh, Anthony and Thomas Smith; Taylor Harrell, Dylon, Caleb, Cayden, Madison Smith; Great-Grandchildren: Ariez and Eve Jernigan, Xander and Alanna Henry; Guiliana and Danika Story; Nieces: LaShae Pritchett. Austin Hathcock, MaKayla Hathcock; Special friends, Tawanna and Kiabug Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carter Duke whom he married in 1983 and a brother, Ronnie Duke.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 15 at 1P.M. at New Chapel Cemetery in Wren, MS with Bro. Scott Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Pace, Clint Key, Dustin Story, Tommy Fairweather, Donnie Smith, Tony Smith, Dakota Ramey, and Andrew Lescinski.
