Houston-Linda Cater Duke, 44, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at her home in Houston. She was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Okolona to the late William Junior Cater and the late Dorothy Evans Reifers Cater. She was a disabled homemaker and a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Okolona.

Services will be at 2 pm Sunday at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Sis. Elizabeth Brown officiating. Burial will be in Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Okolona. Memorial Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Duke of Houston; two sons, Donny Smith and Tony Smith of Houston; a sister, Patricia Hall and Larry of Okolona; a brother, Terry Cater and Phyllis of Myrtle; three grandchildren, Taylre B. Smith, Dylon Smith and Nicholas Smith; several aunts and uncles.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Dr. Donald Smith will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Sunday.
