According to my family research, George Phillip was most likely the grandson of Chloe Cheshire, and the great grandson of the Revoluntionary War veteran, John Cheshire/Chesher, who died in Prince William County abt. 1780.
George Phillip Chesher and Mary E. Arrington married about 1871 and had at least four children: Lula, Geo. F., Wm. F., and George P. The youngest son George F. Cheshire died April 9, 1885, at the age of ten years and eight months of "quinsy".
Daughter Lula is linked to this memorial. Son William Francis Cheshire is at the Find-A-Grave site, interred at the Pohick Episcopal Church Cemetery in Fairfax Co. Virginia.
