Alamo: Leslie Cox,71, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born on January 2, 1945 to Claude and Nadine Cox.

He was passionate about his family, guns, hunting and his dogs. He was an avid sportsman and a lifetime member of the NRA. If it was hunting season you'd know where he was; usually at the deer lease. He served in the Air Force for 4 years and was in the plumbing business for almost 40 years.

Leslie met the love of his life one summer, Kandy Unland, when he was 17 and she was 13. They were married on June 3, 1967 while he was still serving in the military.

He loved his family a lot. He is survived by his wife, Kandy Unland Cox; daughters, Laura Mann (David), Stacy Dombi (Matt) and Julie Cox; mother, Nadine Cox; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Olivia, Ryan, Lacy, Matthew and Blake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Cox and his in-laws, Fred and Hattie Unland.

The viewing will be at Kreidler Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 6-8 pm. The graveside funeral will be at 10 am at Roselawn Cemetery on Friday, January 29, 2016, both in McAllen, TX.
