Funeral services for John L. Rice, 34, who was fatally hurt early Friday night when an automobile in which he was riding failed to take a curve on the Frederick road, Rockville, and crashed into a tree, were held at the home early Monday afternoon. Rev. J. W. Lowden, pastor of the Darnestown Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The condition of Mrs. Beatrice McKnight, 26, of Stockton, Calif., who is said to have been driving the machine when the accident occurred, and who has since been under treatment in Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, for serious injuries, is reported to be improving
