SAMUEL H BOYER, Taylor's Landing, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Harriet Showman, Fairplay, Wednesday morning of complications after an illness of five months, aged 81 years.

Born at Taylor's Landing, he was the son of the late Charles E and Anna Catherine (Artz) Boyer. He was a retired railroad employee and was a member of the Locomotive Engineers and Fireman.

He is survived by a son, Ira Boyer, Cumberland; sister, Mrs. Harriet Showman, Fairplay; and a brother, Luther p Boyer, Baltimore.

The body was taken to the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro, where services will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm with the Rev Rowland Reichard officiating. Interment will be made in the Bakersville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday and Friday evenings.
