Funeral services for Rev. George Bonner, 77, of West Monroe will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday February 16, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe with Rev. Wesley Pittman and Rev. Pat Loftin officiating. Burial will be at Cypress Baptist Church Cemetery.

Rev. Bonner was born on December 29, 1938 in Fort Necessity and passed away on February 12, 2016 in West Monroe. Rev. Bonner’s life goal was ministering to people and witnessing for Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bonner and by his son Jeff Bonner.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Smith; son, Scott Bonner and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Bradley Harper, Courtney Murtagh and husband Trey, and Claire, Kate, Olivia and Ginny Bonner; great grandchildren, Harper and Virginia Murtagh.

Pallbearers will be Scott Thomas, Steve Hendrix, Ronald Edwards, Tom Bonner, Billy Taylor, Monty Pinton, and Paul Henssey.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday February 15, 2016 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Children’s Home or the International Mission Board.
