Robert J. Farster, 72, formerly of Kellersburg, Templeton, RD2, died yesterday, May 6, 1971 at Chicora Medical Center. Mr. Farster was the husband of the former Cora Mae (Bowser) Farster who died in 1949. He was born Feb. 19, 1899, in Boggs Township, a son of John and Jennie (Smith)Farster. Mr. Farster is survived by two sons, Frank R. Farster, Slippery Rock, Dalton J., McGrann; three sisters, Mrs. Ancil (Verda) Lowry, Lower Burrell, Mrs. Edward (Hazel) Walker, Templeton, Mrs. Marlin (Clare) Klingensmith, Templeton, two brothers, Theodore Farster, Templeton, George Farster, Fremont, OH and two grandchildren. An infant daughter and two brothers preceded Mr. Farster in death. Friends are being received after 2 p.m. Friday at the Wayne E. McNaughton Funeral Home in New Bethlehem. Visitation hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Russell Hawk, pastor of Kellersburg Methodist Church. Burial will follow in McCrea Furnace Cemetery.
