Cora Jane Adams, born the 22nd of March 1909, was the last of nine children born to Owen Spencer Adams (1861 to 1922) and Emma Elizabeth Beck (1869 to 1935). She had four older brothers and four older sisters. Cora was the only child in the family who was born in Arkansas.

Cora Jane lived in Arkansas for many years. In 1930 at the age of 21 she was living with her older brother, James Franklin (Frank), and widowed mother in Fairview, Independence, Arkansas. Frank was the head of the house and her occupation was listed as a "helper".

At the age of forty-one, on the 23rd of August 1950, Cora married Walter H. Paulson. He was born the 3rd of August 1902 in Colorado to Gotfried (1875 to 1943) and Hannah O. (1878) Paulson. Both of Walter's parents were immigrants from Sweden, though his mother arrived at the age of three and grew up in Colorado.

Cora and Walter met and were married in California, where Cora had moved in 1948 after the death of her brother, James Franklin Adams. Cora's oldest brother, Cyrus Edgar Adams Sr. was living in California at the time, but Cyrus passed away in 1953. Cora's and Walter's didn't have any children.

Cora passed away on the 14th of June 1974 in Lawndale, Los Angeles, California. Walter passed away a few months later on the 8th of December 1974. They were married for almost twenty-four years. Both Cora and Walter are buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California.
