Roy C. Hodgens, 93, of Greenville, widower of Martha Morgan Hodgens, died February 11, 2016.

Born in Greenville he was a son of the late B. Franklin and Myrtle Hodgens and step mother Sadie M. Hodgens.

Roy was a member of Enoree Baptist Church of Travelers Rest and was a member of Calvin Langley Sunday School Class. He retired from Union Bleachery.

He is survived by four children, Larry “Bud” Hodgens (Jenna), Jessie “Dan” Hodgens (Becky), Judy Clark (Buddy), and Fay Whittington (Earl); four granddaughters, Leah Beachman (Gene), Heather Isbell (Tom), Amy Kelly, and Betsy Mullinax (Randy); four grandsons, Forrest Hodgens, Bryan Clark (Tammy), and Cody and Blake Hodgens; 11 great grandchildren, Will, Makayla, and Sydney Beacham, Katie and Daniel Clark, Morgan and Hannah Isbell, Dominick and Jordan Kelly, Holly Hodgens, and Sadie Mullinax; one brother, Jack A. Hodgens (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his loving wife of 62 years, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Ruth Messer, Clara Kilby, Helen McCarter, and Mary Simpson; Lillian Hyder; and five brothers, Fred, George, Ralph, Haskell, and Charles Hodgens.
