Mr. Charles Delbert Bledsoe, 79, of Lancaster, widower of Tincy Small Bledsoe, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at the VA Nursing Home in Columbia. He was born February 28, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Clarence Bledsoe and Mary Isabelle Kincaid Bledsoe. Charlie was a loving husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle and friend. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. During his lifetime he served in the US Air Force, he was the manager of the Radio Shack. He was the former President of Ham Amateur Radio Club in Lancaster, A former First Lieutenant in the South Carolina State Guard, he was the Owner and Operator of Lancer Electronics in Lancaster, he was a Radio Technician for the Lancaster County Emergency Services. Charlie willingly gave gallons of his rare blood type to the American Red Cross. For years he and his wife Tincy went to West Virginia to make sure that his parents was taken care of. He enjoyed helping people and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bledsoe will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Robinson officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.

Mr. Bledsoe is survived by two step daughters, Robin R. Cole of Lancaster and Margaret Sigmon of Kershaw; a step son Kennith Stewart of Maiden, NC; two grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren; a brother, Bob Bledsoe and his wife Deb of Monroe, NC, his sister in law Mary Bledsoe of Kentucky and Joan Bledsoe of Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Wayne Bledsoe; and two brothers, Richard Bledsoe and Gary Bledsoe.
