She and her siblings were raised by her aunt Rebecca (Rosenthal) Opfer, and when Anna was married, she gave Samuel and Rebecca Opfer as her parents names. I have not been able to find out what happened to the parents Morris and Clara or Caroline (Rostenthal) Weiss, who lived in Manhattan in 1910 with Anna's siblings. Anna's husband Joseph Blacher remarried Anna's sister Mollie Weiss.
