Funeral services for Ethel Leona Ward, 73, of Coushatta, LA will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Holley Springs Southern Methodist Church with Bro. Billy Davis officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until service time on Friday at the church. Interment will follow in Holley Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward was born October 25, 1941 in Coushatta, LA and passed away December 29, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lois Goodson; two sisters, Martha Ann Martin and Peggy Ruth Brackman; and one great-granddaughter, Harley Madason Ward.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, Sherwood Ward of Coushatta, LA; two sons, Robert Ward, Sr. and wife, Sherry of Coushatta, LA and Tommy Daniel Ward and wife, Jeannie of Coushatta, LA; four daughters, Peggy Elaine Marks and husband, Shannon of Coushatta, LA, Julia Marie Ortloff and husband, Carl of Montana, Rhonda Renee Sharpley and husband, Johnny of Coushatta, LA; Omega and husband of Springhill, LA; one brother, John Oliver Goodson and wife, Donna of Georgia; two sisters, Bobbie Elaine Broom of Oil City, LA and Ruby Lee Lincoln of Plain Dealing, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: William Sherwood Ward, II, James Lynn Knotts, Justin Heath Ward, Benjamin Howard Ward, Billy Roy Mason, and William Daniel Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be C.W. Belcher and Laurie Dean Ward
