PELL CITY – Funeral service for Bonnie Gibbs McCoy, age 91, will be Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Pell City First United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Trussville. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. at the Church. Mrs. McCoy passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn McCoy; her parents, Hubert & Lillian Ellison and brother, Bill Ellison. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sarah Gibbs (Robert) Rhodes, Gail Gibbs (Tom) Jackson; grandchildren, Preston Rhodes, Jennifer Rhodes (Dr. Rock) Helms, Amy (Steven) Jackson Roper, Carrie Jackson (Jos)Ramirez; 8 great-grandchildren. She was raised in Blount County. Valedictorian of High School Class. Retired officer of Southern Life & Health. She loved her church and loved singing in the church choir and worked with several volunteer groups. Kilgroe Funeral Home – Pell City will direct the service.
