Robert C. Baker, 70, of Norwalk died Tuesday December 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1940 in Norwalk, Ohio to Lloyd E. and Betty J. (Ryerson) Baker and was a lifelong area resident.
Bob was a 1958 graduate of Norwalk High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Elks #730, where he was Elk of the year in 2009. He had worked at R. R. Donnelly and Sons, of Willard, Norwalk Foundry, Premier Transport of Norwalk, Lighting Resources International of Bellevue, Ohio and retired from Kerr Printing in 2004. He enjoyed fishing, lawn work, and gardening.
Bob is survived by his sons and daughters in law Andrew Ryan and Kelley Baker of Strongsville, Ohio, Kelly Scott and Kim Baker of Stevensville, Michigan, by 5 grandchildren, Hayden, and Zoey Baker of Strongsville, Ohio, Abigail, Aiden, and Ella Baker of Stevensville, Michigan. He is also survived by his mother Betty Ryerson of Norwalk and his devoted friend Tom Vietch. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Baker in 1971 and by his brother Ronald Baker in 2004. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held on Sunday December 12, 2010 at 2:00p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave. Norwalk.

Gravesite Details

His ashes have been strewn into Bob's favorite fishing hole at Norwalk Reservoir. That's what he wanted.
