Dorothy Maria (Alley) Abbott, 81, of Naples, FL, formerly of Quincy. Dorothy came to Quincy, MA in 1944 where she lived before moving to Naples in 1994. She was a 1953 graduate of North Quincy HS where she met her husband, William of 57 years. They were married on September 6, 1958, at the Atlantic Memorial Congregational Church. Dorothy was also a longtime member of the Wollaston Congregational Church; Wollaston/Braintree Chapter OES; Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Braintree; Advisory Board for Wollaston Assembly #10 IORG; active in Old Colony Chapter Order of DeMolay and a Member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. She worked for L.G. Henley Flooring Co. as the Office Manager in Quincy. Dorothy is survived by her husband, William A. Abbott of Naples, FL. She was the loving mother of Joyce Abbott-Finn of Hudson, NH; David A. Abbott of Braintree, MA; Linda Abbott Bennett of Plainville, MA. Loving Grandmother (Mimi) to 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. Dorothy loved her garden, enjoyed traveling in retirement life with her husband and was an avid genealogy buff.
