Archie Bolyard, 81, of rural Mulberry Grove died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 1990, in Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, with Dr. Archie E. Brown officiating. Burial was in Griffith Cemetery, rural Brownstown. Memorial: donor's choice.
Mr. Bolyard was born Feb. 10, 1908, in Vandalia, son of Isaac and Elizabeth Carter Bolyard. He was a retired farmer. He married Cressie Lucille Ritchey on Aug. 4, 1928, in Vandalia. She died Oct. 25, 1986.
Surviving are his son, Archie of Bluff City; daughters, Mrs. Earney (Wanda) Black of Forsyth, MO.,Mrs. Forrest (Edna) Rench of Mulberry Grove, Mrs. Myron (Norma) Koehler and Mrs. Ed (Kathleen) Hall, both of Brownstown and Mrs. Logan (Rosemary) Lockart and Mrs. Oran (Nancy) Davison, both of Vandalia; brother, Lloyd of Bluff City, sister, Flossie Snoe of Pekin; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Eight brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.~~
