LAKE CITY- (Special) Mrs. Alma Matthews, wife of Roy Matthews lifelong resident of near Lake City, died at her home about 6:30 Tuesday morning of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held this afternoon from Camp Branch Church Of God and burial will be in Matthews Cemetery near Lake City.

Mrs. Matthews was a daughter of the late W.A. and Julia Miles Matthews. She was a member of Camp Branch Church Of God.

Survivors include her husband; six sons, W.A., Duncan, Charlie E., Dessie, Colon and Graham Matthews; four sisters, Mrs. Leon Coker, Mrs. Willie Miles, Mrs. Jimmie Lee and Mrs. Odell Scurry; four brothers, Dessie, Luther, Zollie and Dewey Matthews and ten grandchildren.
