Lucy and Thomas out out by wagon to southern Cailfornia abt 1854 to Tulare Co. along with her parents and siblings. It not known for sure why Lucy and her Husband Thomas had separated, but could been a mental issue that one family could not had taken care of both parents. Thomas went to live with a few of his children in San Simeon, Ca. and Lucy went ahead and was living with her daughters family in Fresno of Mrs. Minnie Mahanna. Then later to San Jose, Ca. where Lucy had passed away. In the 1900 census, she states she had 15 children and 7 were living.
At this time, we can't not find any cemetery in the San Jose area that has her remains. She was living at 840 So. Sixth Street with her daughter Minnie Mahanna, this was and still is a two bed room, one bath, built in 1904.
