Jerry A. Finch, 84, passed away January 30, 2016. He was born August 29, 1931, in Perrysburg, OH, to Albert and Emma Finch. He graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1949. He was captain of the basketball team and class president his senior year. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 and served as an aircraft radio mechanic in Thule Greenland and Albuquerque, NM. He married Dolores Dunning in December 1953. He enrolled in the University of Toledo earning a degree in Electrical Engineering while working and attending night classes. Jerry volunteered at Hospice of Northwest Ohio making home deliveries and providing transportation. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, his wife, Dolores, sister in law, Nancy Barrios and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is survived by his children, Jeff Finch (Ruthann), Karen Brooker (Jeff) and John Finch, 6 grandchildren, Adam, Eric, Ryan, and Troy Finch and Jordan and Kiera Brooker, brother in law, Mel Barrios and many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Visitation will be February 3, 2016 from 2 to 8 PM at the Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH. Graveside services will follow at Ft. Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg. The family sincerely thanks his caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, especially his home care nurse Amanda, for providing him comfort and support. We also thank the staff at Kingston Residence, Sylvania and all of the great family, neighbors, and friends that looked after him, visited him and sent cards. He very much appreciated the love you extended him.
