Judith (Judie) Eisenstaedt Lyon, of Sherman Oaks, CA passed away on January 24, 2016. Born in 1935 in Chicago, IL to Herman and Mildred Eisenstaedt,the youngest sister to Phyllis and Lorraine. Judie graduated from the University of Illinois. She married Loren Lyon in 1958 and lived in Chicago until relocating to Florida in 1973 and then to Sherman Oaks in 2015.Judie was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, baker, tennis player, artist and writer. She was known for her sense of humor, deep love for her family, appreciation of beauty and for the effect she had on everyone who met her. Judie is survived by Phyllis & Jerry Braun, Alan & Nancy Lyon, her children, Robin Lyon Gardiner and Allison & Lloyd Segan, her loving grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Michael and Rose, and her many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on February 13, 2016 at 10:30am with shiva immediately following.
