PVT US MARINE CORPS - VIETNAM
WATERVILLE - David Lee Chamberlain, 59, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at his home in Waterville. He was born on July 9, 1956, in Waterville, the son of Fred W. Jr. and Ernestine R. (St. Peter) Chamberlain. He attended Waterville High School.

He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines as a marine specialist working on helicopters until his honorable discharge.

After serving, he returned to his hometown and began working as a meat cutter at Alco Packing. He later took a position working with mentally challenged adults and also enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army. He later returned to school at KVCC and earned a degree in computer science.

David loved spending time at the beach with his family. He was an avid animal lover and found great joy in spending time with his dogs. David's greatest achievement was his three children and three grandchildren, whom he spoke about often. He had a special bond with his brother, Ron, and his family. David will always be remembered for his love of life, and boisterous laugh.

He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Chamberlain and fiancé James of Fairfield, and Jenny Chamberlain and fiancé Scott of Fairfield; son, Eric Chamberlain and fiancé Alisha of Waterville; two brothers, Ron Chamberlain and wife Denise of Waterville, and Ernie Chamberlain and wife Doreen of Gulf Port, Miss.; three grandchildren, Dylan, Hunter, and Logan; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
