Elk Point Citizen Is Called By Death
F.C. Kester, an old resident in this state, died here Thursday of blood poison in his foot. "Dad" Kester, as he was known here, was born in Illinois in 1840 and came to this county in the early '70s. Aside from living two or three years in Canton, S.D., and in Kansas, he has always lived here. He had kept a restaurant here for several years and was night watch for five years. About five years ago he had his foot amputated and has been confined at home ever since. He leaves a wife and four children, namely: Mrs. George Shattuck, Gile Kester and Richard Kester, of this city, and Herb Kester, of Hot Springs, S.D. Interment will be at the Elk Point cemetery. He was 69 years old.
