Orville Clark Eads, 55 of Jackson, peacefully left this world Sept. 15, 2006, at his home. He was born May 6, 1951, in Beech Grove, TN, to Sam and Lura (Ferrell) Eads. Clark was the fourth of eight children and lived in Tennessee and central Illinois throughout his childhood.
Clark served as a recon Marine in the Vietnam War.
In 1973, Clark married Carla Marie Schnebly and later had two sons and a daughter.
Clark worked in the uniform business for over 31 years and was general manager for the Todd Corp. and Aramark Uniform Services.
"Clarkie" believed in keeping life simple and worked hard to provide for his family. He touched many lives with his humor, generosity and humble kindness. Clark enjoyed spending time observing nature and was a great lover of and expert about music. Those who were blessed to know Clark will always remember his enormous smile and beautiful blue eyes.
Clark and Carla's family includes a son, Jason and wife Heather, and their four children; a son, Matthew and partner, Heather Lambert and their two children; a daughter, Kendra Elizabeth Eads; Clark's much-loved nieces and nephews; as well as his seven siblings reside in Illinois, Sam, Jim, Jerry, Chris, Wanda, Cathy and Peggy.
A graveside service will be Tuesday at Young America Cemetery in Hume, IL. A memorial service will be Sept. 23 at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Long-time family friend, the Rev. Danny Cox will officiate.
