Anna spent her early life in Wautoma, Wis., where she graduated from high school.
On June 16, 1956, she married Warren Furst at Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma. They resided in this area for many years. Anna enjoyed gardening and photography, recording her family in the many pictures she took. Her life was devoted to her family and to the love of animals, always keeping dogs and cats.
Anna is survived by three grandchildren: Joseph Furst (Deserae Jackson) of Marinette, WI; Sara Furst (Mickey Smith) of Menominee, MI and Michael Furst of Peshtigo, WI;
three great-grandchildren;
two daughters-in-law: Renee (Furst) Grenier and Lena Furst;
one sister, Marian (Edward) Christensen of Wautoma, WI;
a sister-in-law, Jean Johannes;
a special cousin, Lucille (Robert) Bartel;
three nieces; four nephews;
and her special cat, Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren; three children: Barbara, Steven and Jeffrey; and five brothers: Sylvester (Evelyn), Melvin, Frank, Harley and Donald Johannes.
Friends may call at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home in Marinette from 3 until 5 p.m. today (Monday) February 1, 2016. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Chaplain Darrel Diers officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
