GREEN, Michael Jerome, 57, of Pike Road, AL, passed from this life on January 29, 2016 to be with our Lord forever. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Hollis Green, and mother-in-law, Hazel Hodge.
In July 1991, he came to South Luverne Baptist Church where he served for 23 years. In July 2014, he became the senior pastor at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Montgomery where he served up until his illness. Years ago, he claimed Romans 8:28 as his life verse: "and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Mike was a man of tremendous faith, a loving husband, gentle father, caring brother and son, a loyal friend, and a good shepherd to his flock. He would have it no other way than for Christ to be magnified in his life and glorified in his death. God is good all the time.
