Ronald Lee Patterson, 76, a mighty soul, was peacefully called home Monday, Jan. 25, 2016. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at First Baptist Church of White Settlement. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood. Ronald was born in Carnegie, Okla., in 1939. He made his way to Fort Worth, where he met his bride of 55 years. Between here and there, they made many great lifelong friends. They settled in White Settlement and raised their family. Ronnie made his living as a diesel mechanic, which he loved. When he retired, he became his grandchildren's right-hand man; if it was important to them, it was important to him. Ronnie was a fan of the Rangers, Mavericks and "Wheel of Fortune." Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Theola Patterson; sisters, Joyce Beadles and Roberta Montgomery; mother-in-law, Mattie McMurtrey; fathers-in-law, H.H. Perry and Omer McMurtrey; sister-in-law, Marsha Priest; and infant daughter, Shebra Renee. Survivors: Wife, Marellen Patterson; son, Raymond and Tammy Patterson; daughter, Cathy Patterson and Dale Snyder; granddaughters, Hillary and Mike Yates, and Haley Patterson; great-grandchildren, Michael, Haley, Harlow and Jayden; sisters, Lee and Larry Chapman, Fran and Tom Wenzel; sister-in-law, Darlene and John Templeton; brothers-in-law, Dub and Peggy Perry, Danny Priest; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
