Kenneth Dale Sloneker
February 9, 1931 - January 2, 2016

SLONEKER, Kenneth "Dale" of Oxford, Ohio passed away on January 2, 2016. He was the son of Kenneth and Helen (Manser) Sloneker. Dale married JoAnn Schuster after graduating from Miami University in Oxford. He is survived by their three children, Douglas Sloneker (Barbara), Denver, CO; David Sloneker (Stephany), Ross, OH; Susan Miller (Brad), Playa del Rey, CA; sister-in-law, Elaine Isphording; niece Michele Gramke and family; nephew, Scott Isphording and family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, JoAnn, his parents, his father and mother- in-law, Glenn and Viola (Hoffman) Schuster; his brother-in-law, Jack Isphording. Private graveside services were held at Collinsville Cemetery, Pastor John Witt presiding. After his service in the US Army, Dale was employed by Champion Papers, then General Electric, serving in various compensation administration positions. In earlier years he was a member of Front St. Presbyterian Church, active as deacon, teacher, and basketball coach, and was also baseball coach with West Side Little League. In later years, he was a softball umpire and basketball referee in the Talawanda School district. He and JoAnn were loyal fans of Miami University football and attended many cultural events on campus. They enjoyed gardening and being with their dogs.
