Herman John Eggerss was the 5th of six sons born to Augusta and Wilhelm Eggerss and he also had two sisters. He married Vivetta Nelson Johnson and they made their home in Council Bluffs at 753 Avenue E. They were the parents of one son; Robert William Eggerss, Herman owned a bar at 626 West Broadway for many years and he was well known by all. Wife Vivetta would help out at "Herman's Bar" as well as Robert when he was old enough. Herman loved his family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.
