Vi was born March 4, 1930 to Arthur and Augusta (Dohrmund) Giese in Wilton, IA. Vi received her GED from Muscatine Community College. She married Clarence "Bud" W. Hull on November 13, 1965. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1994.
She owned and operated the Wilton Cafe from 1966 to 1973.
Vi was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, IA, Wilton Senior Citizens, the American Legion Auxiliary, Wilton, IA. She volunteered for many years at the Wilton Elementary School and with Meals on Wheels. Vi received the "Volunteer of the Year" award in 1998 for her volunteer work with Muscatine County. She enjoyed writing poetry and had several poems published. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 4-7 P.M., at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA. Additional visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, IA.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at 10 A.M. at the Grace United Church of Christ.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Hull, Jamie Hull, Craig Poor, Randy Cole, Ken Bland and Rich Downey.
Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, IA.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters: Brenda (Jerry) Poor of Moscow, IA, Cynthia (Jim) Hull of Moscow, IA and Karen Cole (Robert Beatty)of Wilton,
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son-in-law Bill Cole and her brothers: Art, Harris and Elwood Giese.
Memorial donations may be made to Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, IA in her memory.
