Funeral services for John How­ard Rogers, 78, were held Wednes­day at 3 P. M. from the First Bap­tist Church with Rev. E. H. Coburn, assistant pastor of the First Metho­dist Church officiating, assisted by Rev. W. W. Rivers, pastor of First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were H. E. King, W. F. Ammonett, M. J. Jones, Joe Gra­ham, Ed Forbes, and Willard Par­sons. Interment was in the New Electra Cemetery under direction of the James B. Totten Funeral Home.

Rogers, a retired farmer, died at his home here Tuesday morning. He had been a resident of Electra 39 years, and he and his wife had recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.

Survivors include the widow; five daughters, Miss Eula Rogers, Electra; Beulah Taylor, Odessa; Larkie Goodnight, Amarillo; Marie McCurray, Tulia; Ruth Karcher, Kerrville; two sons, Harlie Rogers, Wichita Falls; Claude Rogers, Frederick, Oklahoma; four brothers B. M. Rogers, Medford, Oregon; Lum Rogers, Foss, Oklahoma; Sam Rogers, Houston; Charles Rogers, Clinton, Oklahoma; I8 grandchild­ren and two greatgrandchildren._
