Helen Barbara Ellis was born in New Hope, Wisconsin on Nov. 1, 1923 to John and Helen Ksioszk. She passed away peacefully Nov. 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence R. Ellis in 1987. Helen was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by two sons, two daughters, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She lived her early years on her family's farm in Wisconsin with 12 brothers and sisters. She met Clarence, a young army lieutenant and they were married in 1943. During their marriage they were stationed in numerous locations in the United States and Germany. After they retired Helen settled in Tacoma, WA. where she continued her education and worked at St. Regis and for a local law firm. She had many hobbies and loved to entertain family and friends. Helen was a lifelong Catholic and attended St. Ann Church in Tacoma for more than 20 years. She worked to help those in need both through the church and privately. She was also a long time member of the St. Ann Senior Group. Private funeral services were held December 4, 2015 at New Tacoma Cemetery in Tacoma, WA. She asked that instead of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity . Helen valued and respected everyone around her. She showed her love through her servants heart and her staunch devotion to her faith ensures her place with God in heaven. She taught her family to appreciate sunsets and flowers and to look for the silver lining when troubled. She will always be in the hearts of family and friends.
