Eric Burns, 38, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at home in State Center, Iowa.
A Memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Please wear orange in memory of Eric and if you would like to bring a picture or share a memory of Eric please do.
Eric Russell Burns was born on October 22, 1978, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the son of Dennis and Jerri O’ Lear-Burns. Eric attended School in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the Class of 1998. Eric grew up in Marshalltown and moved to clear Lake in 2003, and back to State Center, Iowa in 2010. He had delivered papers for years, worked at Long John Silvers, Lennox and his favorite job was at Cessford Construction. He enjoyed sports and loved car racing and his music.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Dennis Burns of Marshalltown, Iowa and Jerri O’ Lear- Burns of Mason City, Iowa; and his brother Michael (Shelly) O’ Lear of Marshalltown, Iowa.
