Robert "Bob" Smalley, 67, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away on January 11, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born in Oregon, Ohio, on August 18, 1948, to Enith and Bud Smalley. He attended Clay High School, Bowling Green University, and served in the United States Navy from 1968-1973.

Bob married Caren (Hrbac), and together they had three daughters and two granddaughters. Bob worked at United Parcel Service for 25 years and ran Titan Transportation for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, crossword puzzles, and being a Papa. Bob is survived by his wife, Caren; children, Melissa Smalley of Brandon, MS; Melinda (Brett) Bertucci of Madison, MS; Megan (Edward) McBride of Newport News, VA; granddaughters, Emma-Rae Smalley and Carlee Bertucci; mother, Enith Smalley, of Melbourne, FL; brothers, Butch Smalley of Pahrump, NV and Kelly Smalley of Melbourne, FL; and sister, Enith Windle, of Melbourne, FL. Bob was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation for Mr. Smalley is at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Parkway Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 10:00.

The family requests memorial donations may be made in Robert Smalley's name to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Transplant Fund, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216, Attention Office of Development. The family would also like to send a special-thank you to Dr. Christopher Anderson, Dr. Mark Earl, and the amazing nurses at the SICU.
