She was the loving wife of Gaston Bergeron, they were married on April 23, 1955 and lived a wonderful life together. They had four daughters; Deborah Bergeron Mensay and husband Jim, Kathy Bergeron Rosprim and husband Kevin, Elaine Bergeron Sepulvado and husband Bob and Janet Bergeron Vidrine and husband Jimmy. Elaine was a caring grandmother to Clint Werth, Dustin Werth, Jennifer Sepulvado Robertson and husband Matt, Bryce Sepulvado, Elaine Vidrine Duke and husband Michael and Brett Vidrine and great grandmother to Sutton Robertson and Henry Robertson.
Elaine was born on June 28, 1934 to her parents Clarence Torres and Myrtle Rome Torres. She is preceded in death by her parents and five brothers: Warren Torres, Shirley Torres, Clarence Torres, Leonard Torres and Stuart Torres. She is survived by one brother and three sisters: Lawrence Torres, Lois Torres James, Gloria Torres Loupe, and Mary Anne Torres Marse.
Elaine and her husband had the pleasure of being very active in the communities in which they resided. She was a member of St. Mary's Ladies Altar Guild and VFW Auxiliary Post 6441 in Wimberley, Texas, as well as in the Special Military Active Retired Travelers and Smart Cajun Travel Club. Elaine was also a retired religious education teacher. She was a member of both St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wimberley, Texas and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, Louisiana. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 9:30AM till 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan, Louisiana.
