Martha R. Cruz, 70, of Tucson, Arizona, made her final journey and entered the loving embrace of her Creator on January 14, 2016.

Martha was born in El Paso, TX, on July 14, 1945. She was raised in Los Angeles by her parents; there she was destined to meet her soul mate.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Rodriguez; and her husband of over 40 years, Pedro V. Cruz, Jr.

Martha is survived by her three children, David (Roberta), Edward (Judith), and Angelina (Anthony); grandsons, Audie U. and Pedro G.; sister she was blessed with upon marriage, Mary V. Lopez; and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family.

Martha was not only a supporting and strong mother, she was also a best friend to her children, taught them all she could, and loved them unconditionally. Her two grandsons were her universe, and she loved them tremendously. Martha loved attending Native American powwows and watching her family sing and dance. She loved her powwow family as her own blood. Her favorite times were in California celebrating her Native ways.

Her family is heartbroken, but takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and reunited with her husband. Her family was truly blessed to have her all these years.
