GORKA – Anna Marie (Ditko), 89, Johnstown, passed away June 20, 2015, at LaurelWood Care Center. Born March, 4, 1926, in Johnstown, the daughter of Stephen and Anna (Balaschak) Ditko. Preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph F. Gorka; children, Thomas, Timothy and Diane (Murray); grandchildren, Adam, Aaron and Maria Gorka; brothers, Steve, Patrick and Joan (Duray); sister, Betty (Ditko) Russak; sister-in-law, Ann (Kleczek) Messaro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann previously worked in the bakery at Penn Traffic and as- sisted as a cafeteria monitor at the former Chandler Elementary School. She was a 30-year supporting member of Children International, an organization committed to aiding children worldwide who are living in poverty. Ann was a member of Resurrection Parish and the former SS. Casimir & Emerich Church, where she volunteered to help at the Lenten fish fries and parish festivals. She was a dedicated wife and loving mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. Ann enjoyed crafts, crocheting and making afghans for friends and family members. The family would like to thank the staff at LaurelWood Care Center for the care they gave Ann during her time there. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Parish, the Very Rev. Alan Thomas, VF, officiating. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.ozogfh.com.
