Mrs. Geraldine James Daniel Tidwell, age 77 of Dickson, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wendell M. Daniel and by her twin brother, Gerald James. Born in Humphreys County, she was the daughter of the late Earl Dee and Merle Salters James. She was a retired educator where she had worked in the Title I program helping children with Reading and Math. She was a member of the Walnut St. Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, J. C. Tidwell, Dickson; one son, Kevin Daniel and his wife, Rhonda, Dickson; one daughter, Brenda Burgess and her husband, Mike, Dickson; one brother, Jesse James, Bold Springs, TN, and three sisters, Ann James Stringer, of Bold Springs, Evelyn James Collier and Kay James Burns, both of Maryville, TN; three grandchildren, Michael Burgess and his wife, Raina, Ashley Estes and her husband Justin, and Brad Daniel and his wife, Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Allie, Sophie, and Brody; several nieces and nephews.
Place of rest is in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
