Susan Jane Weyand, age 57, of 214 Walker St., Ursa, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at 2:55 pm in her home.
Sue was born July 8, 1958 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Clifford L. “Hoopie” and Gwendolyn “Wink” Tournear Watkins. She married James “Jim” Weyand on May 31, 1980 in Union United Methodist Church in Quincy. He survives.

Sue was a 1976 graduate of Quincy Senior High School. She owned and operated the Hoop N’ Wink Restaurant from 1985 – 2012, and for many years she was the sole cook. Sue had several hobbies and loved “The Wizard of Oz”. However, Sue’s life was mainly focused on taking care of every one in her family. Her life’s legacy is the joy she brought to all of her friends and family. Sue’s family will always remember her lovingly prepared elaborate holiday meals and the care she put into making each of their birthdays special.

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by: her son, J.C. (Mariah) Weyand of Hannibal, MO; her granddaughter, E. Weyand; two sisters, Diana K. (Phil) McCutcheon-Bushnell of Jacksonville, IL; and Christine (Dave) Watkins of Quincy; four nieces: Kimberly (Danny) Faircloth of Perry, FL; Tiffanee (Conrad) Peters; Tanna McCutcheon; and Tawni McCutcheon all of Jacksonville, IL; a nephew, Derek “Boomer” Purdy of Quincy; three great nephews and two great nieces.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her little dog, Booker.

Services: 11:00 am Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Pastor Richard Martin officiating.

Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Wednesday January 20, 2016 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home
