Opal Faye Ferguson of Foster, Oklahoma was born to Grady and Edna Faye (Simmons) Stewart on December 9, 1930 in Las Cruces, New Mexico and passed from this life on January 15, 2016 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

Opal grew up and attended school at Doyle, Bray, and Burrows High.

On February 5, 1949, Opal married Paul Q. Ferguson in Gainesville, Texas.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, growing flowers, and riding horses. The highlight of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Danny Ray Ferguson and wife Bobbie Jo of Foster, Oklahoma
Dale Ferguson and wife Sherry of Foster, Oklahoma
2 brothers: C. P. Stewart of San Antonio, Texas
Joe Adams and wife Carol of Duncan, Oklahoma
Sister: Judy Hawkins and husband Jack of Duncan, Oklahoma
8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by:
Her parents: Grady and Edna Stewart
Sister: Shirley Keck

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Mountain View Full Gospel Church with Rev. Rocky Keck and Rev. Lynn Plant officiating. Interment will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
