She was born in Sharon, PA on July 18, 1953, the daughter of the late Stanley Buchanan Sr. and Helen (Bergstrom) Buchanan. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and attended Penn State Shenango Valley Campus.
She had worked in banking as a loan officer at 1st National Bank in Hermitage, for over 20 years. Cheryl enjoyed baking, traveling, feeding birds and squirrels, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. She was an avid New England Patriots fan . Cheryl was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mariano, and her husband, Mark, of Novi, MI, and her granddaughter, Miracle Mariano, along with her companion, Robert "Bob" McClearn, at home, her sisters, Marilyn Dickey, Carol Ligotti, and Tracy Buchanan, and her brothers, Carl, Donald, and Leslie Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Kenneth and Stanley "Skip" Buchanan Jr.
