Major League Baseball Player. Born Harold Arthur Trojovsky, he spent 11 seasons as a first baseman with the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox. He made his major league debut in 1933 at the age of 20, setting a major league record for rookies with 35 home runs. His best season occurred in 1936 hitting 42 home runs with a .343 batting average, establishing club records with 162 runs batted in and hitting safely in 28 consecutive games. He retired following the 1946 season suffering from migraine problems which had plagued him throughout his playing career with 228 home runs, 1,561 hits and a lifetime .302 batting average. Following retirement he worked as a scout for the Chicago White Sox and as a real estate salesman. In 1965 he was inducted into the Iowa Sports Hall of Fame. He died from a fatal heart attack at the age of 66.
